A Little Bit About Me
Salaam,

1) Some Personality Traits / Characteristics:

* ‘Clean Freak’ (Borderline OCD!!!) although that might be a bit of an understatement...I'll let you be the judge of that! I'm not perfect but I am a 'Perfectionist!!'
* I am a 'Control Freak' (You have been warned!) :) Ties in with the first point. :)
* Hardworking - Work hard, play hard! I try and excel in ALL aspects of life, Alhamdulilah. I will always do my level best and then leave the rest up to Allah (swt)! Live by this principle and many others!!
* Mature
* Quirky
* Good Sense of Humour / 'Quick Witted': (I can be sarcastic sometimes so 'Heads up'!) :)
* Straightforward and Blunt: Honesty is the 'Best Policy' but I do understand that so is 'Diplomacy' and 'Tact'... there's a 'Time' and 'Place' for everything...
* Down To Earth / Humble / Simple in Appearance: I don't look like a 'Barbie Doll'...!! :)
* Some words that underpin things that I feel incredibly 'Strongly' about: Fairness, Equality, Justice, Peace, Democracy, Trust, Honesty, Truth, Transparency...again to a certain extent.

2) Some Interests / Hobbies:

*I love reading! Huge fan of 'Crime Detective Fiction', 'Comedy', 'Horror / Thrillers', Love a Good 'Action Movie': TV Dramas, Books, Films etc.
*History, The Arts, Archaeology...Love Learning about Places & People that are Steeped in: Culture / Tradition / Proper 'Old School' type stuff...think 'Indiana Jones'?? :)
* Not a 'Delia Smith' or a 'Mary Berry' but I do have a keen interest in Cooking and Baking!! I'm very much an 'Amateur' at the Beginner's Level; I'll try not to kill you but I’m not making any promises!! :)
* Long walks, Travelling etc
* I would like to own a cat(s) in the foreseeable future insha Allah! :)

3) Non-Negotiables or Deal-Breakers:

* Someone between the ages of 38 - 43!
* I wear Hijab and Abaya, so if that's an issue for you then skip, skip & skip! :)
* Preference given to 'Divorced Men' with 'No Children'. I'm not completely ruling out 'Single Men' who have 'Never Been Married Before' but I do have a preference. If you have children, I'm sorry but I'm not interested! No offence! :)
* Living with 'In-Laws' might be a 'Possibility' (Not Sure Yet!!).
* No Shisha or Cigarette Smokers!!
* You should be practicing the 'Basic Fundamentals' of Islam in terms of praying Salaah etc already. Maybe not necessarily praying ALL '5 A Day' just yet, but you should be aspiring towards that...and be willing to make an 'Effort' to 'Grow Together Spiritually...?’ I'm not interested in 'Results' and 'Outcome'. For me it's about 'Effort' and 'Progress' first! :)


4) Some Other Features:

* Someone who knows how to live in this 'World' whilst being 'Mindful' of his 'Religious Duties' towards his 'Faith'. He keeps the world in his 'Hands' rather than in his 'Heart'...doesn't lose sight of what IS actually important: Road to Jannah! :)
* Your 'Faith' underpins your Mindset, Attitude, Behaviour, Maturity, Character and Personality Traits on a ‘Daily Basis’. That is easier said than done because I'm on the same 'Journey' as you. Not looking for 'Perfection' but there's no harm in striving towards it Insha Allah! :)
* I'm interested in considering 'Reverts', however, my parents may not be so forthcoming…? So I suppose it depends on the individual…? You should be Sunni though and have been practicing Islam for a while. :)
